Planning Permission is rarely given for new Radio Masts in this area, and it is practically impossible to get in East Yorkshire. You can overcome this issue by using a Repeater from our Mast. This can give you Two Way communication up to approximately 100 mile plus radius.
This Site can also be used for remote alarm and tracking equipment, giving you complete control to exact co-ordinates via GPS.
The site is monitored 24 hours a day with CCTV cameras that can be accessed remotely. Also it has an up to date monitoring service that can inform the police immediately with a three minute attendance for anyone who tries to access the premises illegally, including if they try to climb over the fence or enter into the fenced area. I have been told it is the most secure site for communications in Great Britain. Also this site has the fibre optics for the internet.

DSL in some Rural Area's around here are very slow and can be faster than Fibre from the cabinet as the cabinet is miles away from you, but NOT FROM HERE.

This site gives an Excellent opportunity For somebody wanting to supply the Internet to any or all the local caravan sites, farms etc. as this site now has by the Means to do this over the Air at a faster speed than Fibre optics can in this Area. Fibre optics for this Area is slower than DSL. Boost Your Mobile Phone Signal, Fast broadband opens up the possibility of improving your mobile phone signal through the use of a booster. Another option is Wi-Fi Calling, if you have the right mobile phone and your provider supports it. Check the details with your mobile phone provider or ask us for advice.
Replace Your Landline
If you want to ditch BT completely, you can even use a landline phone on your broadband connection by using an Analogue Telephone Adapter along with a VOIP (voice over internet Protocol). This Mast at Octon Cross was first established in 1976.
The Mast was replaced in 1998 by a modern, more stronger well equipped mast, offering prospective clients the use of a 50 metres high mast with 4 working platforms. It stands 160 metres above sea level. This means that from the top of the mast you have a grand total of 210 metres above sea level.
From the ground level of the mast it is overlooks the East coast with unobstructed excellent views of Kingston upon Hull, Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough and Pickering. It has a unhindered line of sight with the Leeds Airport, Harrogate, Otley and Northallerton.
Using a Mobile Radio Repeater The range of the mast gives excellent coverage to the North, beyond Kirkby Moorside and Pickering and can reach Newcastle, Peterlee. It further extends West to York and Leeds, The Pennines and South of the Mast to Kingston upon Hull, Doncaster, Sheffield South Yorkshire and across the River Humber to approximately 10 Miles North of Norwich.
Seagoing vessels can also benefit as reception goes East out to sea with a similar radio range. On a good sunny day some frequencies have reached London.
